Riverbank Rehabilitation Project
The Riverbank Rehabilitation Project aims to protect and enhance flood-damaged riverbanks across 11 catchments in NSW, including the:
- Bellinger
- Brunswick
- Clarence
- Hastings
- Hawkesbury
- Hunter
- Macleay
- Manning
- Nambucca
- Richmond
- Tweed.
What will the project do?
The project will strengthen flood-damaged riverbanks and support landholders by:
- undertaking targeted riverbank rehabilitation works focussed on the protection of high value rural agricultural, cultural and environmental natural areas
- providing direct support to flood impacted landholders through the delivery of the riverbank erosion support process.
The Riverbank Rehabilitation Project is co-funded by the Australian and NSW Governments under Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
