Riverbank Rehabilitation Project

The Riverbank Rehabilitation Project aims to protect and enhance flood-damaged riverbanks across 11 catchments in NSW, including the:

  • Bellinger
  • Brunswick
  • Clarence
  • Hastings
  • Hawkesbury
  • Hunter
  • Macleay
  • Manning
  • Nambucca
  • Richmond
  • Tweed.

What will the project do?

The project will strengthen flood-damaged riverbanks and support landholders by:

  • undertaking targeted riverbank rehabilitation works focussed on the protection of high value rural agricultural, cultural and environmental natural areas
  • providing direct support to flood impacted landholders through the delivery of the riverbank erosion support process.

The Riverbank Rehabilitation Project is co-funded by the Australian and NSW Governments under Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
