A Key Partnership Grows

In 2018, the Australian Government selected North Coast Local Land Services to be their service provider for several Regional Land Partnerships program outcomes and projects.

A five-year services agreement was signed, and four projects commenced protecting significant species, communities, World Heritage and on-farm soils and vegetation.

A key feature of the partnership is the ability to devise and put in place local and regional solutions that also assist the Australian Government in meeting their international biodiversity obligations.

Since this agreement, the Australian Government engaged North Coast Local Land Services to deliver additional projects. These include pest and weed control to protect threatened species and communities in burnt areas and the rodent eradication on Lord Howe Island.

The provisions of the services agreement enable the Commonwealth and North Coast Local Land Services to mobilise and direct funding when and where it is most needed.
