Best practice land management in beef grazing systems

Are you interested in improving soil fertility, pasture and grazing management on your property? North Coast Local Land Services is looking for 15 landholders/beef producers to participate in a pilot grazing and land management project.

This project will allow you to access the best available information and advice for improving beef production on the North Coast. Assistance will be provided in the concepts of grazing management and pasture improvement. Landholders will have the opportunity to provide input into the project and contribute to case studies while being exposed to best practice and the latest innovative pasture production systems.

Through a series of workshops North Coast Local Land Services will collaborate with a small number of participants showcasing local production systems. The project has a focus on pasture improvement, soil test interpretation, fertiliser selection, pasture assessment and livestock production from fodder systems. Landholders will also learn about grazing management based on the Prograze® principles and alternative fodder systems.

The program is funded through Catchment Action NSW.
