Every Bit Counts Webinar Series

Through the Every Bit Counts program, North Coast Local Land Services invites landholders in the region to a two-part webinar series about how to make sure their small farms or lifestyle properties are healthy and resistant to diseases, weeds and pests.

Preventing the introduction and spread of diseases, pests and weeds onto their land is one of the essential things a landholder can do. Many factors play into preparation and decision making, and like any landholder, there are specific actions a small landholder or hobby farmer must legally take to be biosecure. This includes reporting high risk and priority pests and diseases, controlling the movement, keeping and release of pest animals, controlling the movement, treatment and importation of plants, and having the right accreditation, registrations, certificates and permits.

We encourage landholders who manage a hobby farm or small property to come along to this free two-part lunch break webinar series.  Weed management, animal health and biosecurity basics, including priority weeds and pests to be aware of in the North Coast region at the moment will be covered.

The two webinars will feature presentations from North Coast Local Land Services animal health, biosecurity, weeds, plant biosecurity and sustainable land management teams. As well as expert local advice, there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions about managing your property

Every Bit Counts is a program delivering events and information for small landholders on the North Coast. If you’d like to learn more, please subscribe to our newsletter.
