PRODUCTION ADVICE & NRM NEWS -  MARCH 2022 - ANIMAL HEALTH

There’s a new face in the Murray Local Land Services District Vet team!

With Team Leader Animal Biosecurity & Welfare Mark Corrigan embarking on twelve months of leave, Emily Stearman will be filling his shoes as Acting Team Leader Animal Biosecurity & Welfare.

Working as a District Veterinarian at Riverina Local Land Services for the past seven years, Emily has a keen interest and experience in the cattle, sheep, and horse industries.

"I’m excited to be a part of the Murray LLS Vet team for the next twelve months.  I am here to ensure that in Mark’s absence, we will continue to provide the best service to our local producers.  The focus of the team will remain unchanged, as District Vets, we can offer advice on livestock health, investigate diseases and help to manage the impacts of biosecurity risk.”

Residing locally, Emily completed her Veterinary Degree at Charles Sturt University Wagga Wagga in 2010. She went on to work in southern Queensland and northern NSW, before returning to the Riverina in 2014.

Emily will work alongside Albury based District Vet Mark Stillman to service the eastern Murray LLS Region and address any animal health enquiries.

Emily can be contacted by calling (not texting) Mark Corrigan’s phone number 0428 256 431 or email emily.stearman@lls.nsw.gov.au.
