Services over the break

December 2018

Anthony Marshall, General Manager

As we come to the end of another busy year I wanted to write a quick note to say thank you to all our customers and stakeholders for your ongoing engagement, feedback and support.

I would also like to say how proud I am of the way our local teams have operated this year. The time, effort and dedication they have shown to their jobs and their communities in a difficult drought affected year has been much appreciated by us all.

As the team heads off for some well-deserved time with family and friends over the Christmas shut down, I wanted to take this opportunity to outline the services available over this period.

Offices will officially shut for the year on the afternoon of Friday 21 December and will re-open on the morning of Monday 7 January 2019 as per the directive from the Secretary of the Department of Industry.

During this time staff will be on call in case we need to respond to an emergency situation.

If you have a biosecurity or animal health emergency to report please call 1800 675 888.

Despite some recent rains the South East is still very much feeling the effects of the drought. The NSW Government’s Drought Hub is still the best place for you to go to get information relating to drought support options.

The Drought Hub has a dedicated Wellbeing page which I would like to draw to your attention. Christmas can be a conflicting time for some. The Wellbeing page includes the contact details for a range of services that may be able to assist you if you find yourself in need of support.

I wish you all a happy and safe holiday period and hope to see you at some point in the New Year.

Thanking you again for your support,

Anthony
