Biosecurity Symposium 2018

November 2018

Kylie Challen, Biosecurity Coordinator

Last month members of South East Local Land Services biosecurity teams attended the 2018 NSW Vertebrate Pest Management Symposium in Coffs Harbour.

The symposium was host to 200 attendees representing both government and non-government organisations, all with an interest and stake in effective biosecurity.

This forum brought those who manage pests, researchers and policy makers together to discuss impacts, best practise methods, monitoring techniques, existing and new controls.

The forum represented a good opportunity for South East Local Land Services teams to see and hear about these latest developments and ideas and be able to discuss issues with other subject matter experts.

More information about the Symposium, including a full run down of speakers and presentations can be found here.
