Welcome Belinda Davies

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you all to our new Local Manager for the South Coast local area, Belinda Davies.

Belinda has a long and varied background in emergency management and building disaster resilient communities. Belinda’s work focused on floodplain and coastal risk management, emergency planning, warning systems, flood mitigation and disaster intelligence across NSW.

Belinda’s team worked closely with national, state and local stakeholders and partners across government and the community to build capability across prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery aspects of emergency management.

She has a background in environmental science which saw her early career working from Alice Springs Desert Park and in the Tanami Desert to trial rehabilitation techniques of tailings dams.

She later worked in environmental consultancy dealing with issues of weed and pest management and ground water contamination in central Australia before returning to NSW.

Belinda has worked in the Illawarra for nearly 20 years, and is looking forward to working with the team and customers on the South Coast.
