General Manager's Update

January/February 2021

Anthony Marshall, General Manager

Welcome back to the South East Circular for 2021. Hopefully this year is less stressful than the last few have been. Thanks again to you all for your understanding and adaptability as we adjusted some of our service delivery last year.

We can take some real positives out of the way we were able to use technology to make our content more accessible, but we’re also very keen to be getting back to in-person events and workshops.

We’re keeping abreast of the latest health orders regarding COVID and will be applying those to the way we support you, but at the moment our offices are open and staff are back on deck and looking forward to working with you all again this year.

I want to take this opportunity to remind fire affected land managers who share a border with public land that they may be eligible for a grant of $5,000 a kilometre to go towards the rebuilding of boundary fences. We have a dedicated team ready to support you, you can find out more about the process and eligibility here. Please note that applications are due by 31 March 2021. Please feel free to share the program with anyone you know who you think might be eligible.

Our teams will be continuing with regular business but there will also be a concerted focus on the various bushfire recovery programs that we’ve been funded to deliver. These programs include targeted pest and weed control and regeneration of pasture on containment lines. If you have any questions please contact your nearest office.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks,

Anthony
