Farm business boot camp

A local opportunity to reset, reboot and regenerate your farm plan.

Whether you’re growing grain or grazing livestock, this event is designed to challenge your thinking and inspire your farm planning into 2024 and beyond.

Together, we’ll explore the science of local soils that fuel our farming systems and hear first-hand from farmers their top tips for success running a sustainable farm business.

Learn how to improve your soil health, reduce farm inputs and carbon emissions, while boosting farm resilience and profit margins.

Sharing their practical know-how:

  • Joel Williams, Integrated Soils: Unlocking the science of the soil biology powerhouse
  • Scott McCalman, Jedburgh Farming: Cover cropping, crimping & healthy crop systems
  • Grant Sims, Down Under Covers: Multi-species mixes for production & nutrition
  • Adam and Jody Turner, Springhill Beef: Hunter paddock-to-plate beef success story
  • Matt Cherry and Shelley Piper, Trio Angus: Angus stud breeders & holistic managers
  • Panel discussion and Q&A with UH farmers: Byron and Fiona Hubbard and Kylie Magner.
